It’s fun blogging once in a while.

Tweetitow

October 7, 2009 Mobile

Ever since my Cookie died during my vacation in Boracay last June, I didn’t want to own any hi-tech phones. It was fun at first because I looked cool. Imagine I was one of the first owners of the cheapest touchscreen phone during that time (Feb 2009). It kinda sucked though ‘coz I wasn’t able to do anything with it. Bulok kasi ang Sun Cellular services such as WAP, MMS, GPRS, etc. etc. etc.

Enough of Cookie and Sun Cellular, lets talk about twitter shall we? ;) I’ve been an active “twitter-er” since March 2009. From then on, wala na ako ginawa kung hindi mag tweet ng mag tweet. It’s fun coz you get to say anything you want, BUT with limited characters, 140 to be exact. And since I’m an avid “twitter-er”, I wanted to keep all my followers updated by updating my account from time to time (even without my laptop &  internet connection. or something that can be done through SMS (sorry folks, no more techy phones from now on. im happy with my k770i and 8250)). So whats the solution?

ISIP.PH. I’ve been seeing a lot of friends from twitter using this “free” twitter update service. It worked for me until something happened to my twitter username which had an effect with my ISIP account. Blahhhh. Asar! Di na pumapasok tweets ko using ISIP. I tried editing my ISIP account, walang nangyari. I tried to register again but I got this message:

ISIP.PH Advisory: ISIP.PH is currently not accepting new users for the mean time. ISIP.PH’s InfoTxt System (www.myInfoTxt.com) is now being used for emergency communication alerts to victims of Typhoon Ondoy and the coming Supertyphoon Pepeng.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

God bless

Boo. Screw you people from ISIP. If you can’t provide good services for everyone, might as well shut down your company. It pissed me off. Nawalan lang ako ng load everytime I tried tweeting. So I had to look for another alternative…

SUN ALERTZ. Its the same with ISIP, you can tweet through SMS. Costs around Php15/a day or Php150/a month for postpaid subscribers. WTH. I don’t wanna add that up to my bill. Thank you very much Sun Cellular! Again, tried looking for another alternative.

ALAS!

There’s tweetitow!

I super love it (for now) and I think its wayyyyy better than ISIP. No advertisements. Its as easy as 1-2-3! ;) Try it guys! I recommend this API. Love you tweetitow! :D
