People are thankful that we didn’t feel the strength of Super Typhoon Pepeng here in Manila. Unfortunately, people from the north were directly hit by the typhoon. Cagayan Governor said they had enough supplies for their evacuees but are willing to accept donations. As of the moment, there were no casualties reported (and hopefully wala nga).
We’ve started cleaning our house, specially the garden area. Daming dahon na nahulog eh.
We still have water inside, almost 1 ft. high pa. We’ll probably clean this by tomorrow or kapag wala na totally yung tubig.

Pahirapan ang paglilinis nito.
Ok lang, 1 week na ako walang gym. For sure nakakapagod din ‘to.
On a more lighter note… I went shopping.
Nagulat parents ko na bumabagyo na nga pero nandyan pa rin Air21 to deliver goods. Kudos to Air21, ang bilis ha! On time. Here’s my latest GREAT buy:

Its a vintage Nina Ricci evening/sling bag.
Cute no? It just needs a little cleaning. Again, from eBay. I’m loving ebay, mas ok pa don kesa sa multiply.
Wait, baka may mag comment diyan na wala na ako inisip kung hindi shopping.
Don’t get me wrong, we may not be giving goods to people affected by Ondoy (we’re also affected as you can see from my photos) but we’ve shared a few lumbers and hollow blocks to our neighbors that they can use as bridges. Mahirap naman na lakad ng lakad sa baha.

Are you ready Philippines?
I’d like to share with you my flood survival tips (we’re doing as of the moment):
- Save energy! Charge everything that requires battery while you still have electricity.
- Stock up on canned/instant goods! Sardines, orned beef, sausage, spam, instant noodles, coffee, etc.
- Apply some petroleum jelly to your feet before walking in flooded areas in order to prevent athlete’s foot.
- Keep an emergency kit. Must contain the following: alcohol, betadine, medicines, band aids, etc.
- Its easier to walk around flooded areas if you wear comfy clothes with short shorts plus your trusty flipflops. Para ka lang nasa beach.
- Eat less than the usual. Why?
I’m having a hard time figuring where to “let it all out”. Septic tanks are full of water so might as well not add anything nasty to it right?
- Shower every other day. We don’t have labahan right now, mahirap maubusan ng damit. Just keep yourself clean. Isipin niyo na lang may lagnat kayo. Haha.
- STAY POSITVE. Do not believe weather forecasts, they’re not accurate. Typhoon can change its course anytime.
- DO NO PANIC. Prepare everything you need and you’ll surely be ok. Be safe!
- PRAY. It helps. The Philippines (and the world) need a miracle now.

View from our house.

View from the inside. Our garage, filled with water showered by Ondoy.
This scene ain’t that shocking from us here in Taguig. If a typhoon really is strong, we’re expecting something like that from the photos above. It’s actually the 3rd time this happened. First was Rosing back in 1995. Second was Reming in 2000 and now Ondoy. Nothing happened to our house during Milenyo back in 2008. Milenyo brought in strong winds with less water. But Ondoy on the other hand have both.
We actually lost a lot of stuff, mostly appliances and other not so important materials. BUT THAT’S OK. Family muna bago luho.
My problem now (and most probably my parents too) is our safety. As you can see, we built bridges to refrain from walking around dirty (and stinky) water and for health reasons also.
Our house is OPEN. No locks whatsoever. I just hope that no one will try to abuse the situation, come in and steal stuffs, etc. My dogs are downstairs and I’m sure they’ll do their job to secure our house. Yun nga lang, nakakulong sila.
I don’t want them to swim around noh! Baka malunod. Haha.
Hmm, so yeah.. That’s all. We’re alive and we’re swimming.
I hope the coming typhoons won’t be as strong as Ondoy. Let’s just pray for everyones safety.
Goodnight everyone! God Bless the Philippines!
Since Cory’s death, I really wanted to go out to the streets just to show my love for this country. Yun nga lang, medyo weird yung weather during that time.
So yesterday, I decided to join my fellowmen to celebrate the 26th death anniversary of Ninoy Aquino at his monument in Makati city.

Tuloy ang laban!

Paolo’s panoramic shot. My crowd estimate, around 1500-2000 people.
Spotted a few personalities, most of them were politicians, some were church people, and some were… I don’t know, usi?

Posing with Joey De Venecia. Man behind the NBN ZTE Deal (together with Jun Lozada).

Posing with Revo Naval. Guy behind Peace Love & Revolution and creator of Ninoy-Cory bill.
It was kinda sad that only a few people attended the said event. Akala ko ba tuloy ang laban?
Hanggang dun na lang ba yon kay Cory? Hmm. As for me, tuloy na natin ‘to. Kahit hassle magpa-rehistro para lang mag vote.
I’m voting for the Mar Roxas-Noynoy Aquino tandem. Sana matuloy!
