It’s fun blogging once in a while.

Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr. was assassinated at the Manila International Airport. Photo taken by Recto Mercene, grabbed from PCIJ.

I wasn’t even alive during that time. I had no idea who was who. :| So I asked my parents if they even joined the hundreds and thousands of protesters rallying in EDSA. From the photo below, I don’t think so…

That’s Ferdinand Marcos, unknown guy in the middle and my grandfather Eusebio Sta. Barbara.

Finally!

Hoorrrrraaayyyy! Finally found a vintage Japanese bike! Got it for Php2,300. ;) I’m ready to pimp my new ride.

Ultimate girly bike in pink! Give me a week or two and my bike will look like this sample photo from destinee16. ;)

Mama actually bought 2 bicycles, one for me and Papa (original price is Php2500, discounted to Php2300). :)   This photo from The Ukay Queen is a great peg for the 2nd bike.

Woopieee! :D I’m excited! I’ll use the bike on my way to work (which is 5-10 minutes away from home). Saves me gas, saves the environment and gives me exercise! Hoorrraayyy!

Cameras and Engagement

August 16, 2010 Celebration, Love Comments

“These are the pictures from when we got engaged. I have no idea in frames one and two and am really confused in frame three (lets never make that face again!) and really surprised in frame four.” Angela and Ithyle

Four different frames, four different expressions. Feels good to fall in love. And if I may add, proposing I think is the hardest thing a man can ever do for his future bride. I mean, come to think of it.. photo above is sweet and simple. How do you beat that? Challenging ba @MrNoche? :P

6th Anniversary

August 14, 2010 Food, Love, Travel Comments

Paolo and I celebrated our anniversary in Boracay.

Going to Boracay wasn’t really part of the plan. Like I said in my last post, I’m never going back to Boracay.. blame Cebu Pacific and the boyfriend who rarely goes out of town. It was a wild trip. We’re instant backpackers.

Flight was delayed, canceled and diverted to Kalibo. Hubby and I decided to stay near the airport instead of traveling all night just to get to Caticlan/Boracay. Our 3D2N vacation supposedly dated August 5-7 changed to August 5-10. Talk about being stranded in the island for the 2nd time! Thanks to typhoon Domeng/Esther.

As you can see, Paolo semi-enjoyed Boracay. He said its his first and last trip to the island.

Boracay is indeed crying for help.. you’re right Willy Arcilla. How I wish I’ve seen the island during the 80’s. Anyway, we still managed to survive.. thanks for ATM’s.

Stayed again in Erikos House. :) Rates are from Php1200-1500 during off-peak. You may contact them at 0928 485 4100.

Tapsilog at Ole’ Tapas Bar Y Restaurant. Beef was a bit chewy and lacked marinade.

Burgerella from Bite Club. Check out the cheese oozing out of the burger patty!

Dad’s Famous Bulalo Steak from I ♥ Backyard BBQ. Tastes so so… Razon’s bulalo steak is still the best for me.

Fish and Chips from Fish Bar.

I wonder where will be my next destination?
